Airbourne, Eastbourne’s International Airshow
Thursday – 11th August – Sunday 14th August, 10am – 6pm, Eastbourne Seafront between Pier and Wish tower

When major Bernard Fowler first put on an air display at Eastbourne in 1919, he could not envisage the massive leaps in aviation and
the spectacular air display which is annually put on in the town. From the aerial displays to the static aircraft on Western Lawns, one
feels a sense of awe at the power of these vehicles of the sky.

South of England Tennis Championships

Steampunk Festival
Saturday – 10th September – Sunday 11th September, all day on the seafront from the Pier to the Wish tower
The victorians never had it this good! For Steampunk is more than a festival, it is a time of invention, great gothic costumes and a little bit of what one may call eccentric activity. Singing, dancing and storytelling are all part of the programme!

Eastbourne Bonfire Society Procession & Fireworks
Saturday – 1st October, 7.30pm – 9pm, parade along the seafront
As night breaks, the smugglers come out carrying their cartons of brandy and holding high torches to light the way. This is the scene all along Eastbourne’s seafront as all of the Bonfire societies gather i a spectacular parade that sends shivers up the spine, but it’s all good fun!

Beachy Head Marathon
Saturday – 29th October, starting at 9am, commencing at St Bede’s School, Holywell
Over 1700 runners annually challenge the 26 mile course across the rugged South Downs, in pursuit of being the first one to win the coveted prize of being the champion for that year. For all the runners up, there is a gold badge to show that they have endured this strenuous course.
Christmas Day Concert
Sunday – 25th December , 10.45am – 12.15pm, at the Central Bandstand on the seafront
A tradition which has been in Eastbourne for many years is the Christmas day dance and concert at the Bandstand. It’s a wonderful way of joining in the christmas festivity and, for a lot, showing of their decorative constumes.
New Years Day Concert
Sunday 1st January, 11am – 12.30pm, at the Central Bandstand on the seafront
Celebrate the new year with the Ray Campbell Dance band as they entertain the new year revellers on the first day of the new year!
